Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the safety check service provided by Are You Dead (the "App").

Article 2 (Service Description)

  1. The App provides the following services:
    • Daily check-in feature
    • Check-in reminder notifications
    • Emergency contact alerts when check-in is missed
  2. Service details may change with app updates.

Article 3 (User Obligations)

  1. Users must register accurate personal information and emergency contact information.
  2. Users must obtain prior consent from individuals registered as emergency contacts.
  3. Users must not use others' information without authorization.

Article 4 (Service Use)

  1. The App is provided free of charge.
  2. Data communication charges incurred while using the App are the user's responsibility.
  3. The App operates 24 hours in principle but may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)

  1. The App is not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.
  2. The App is not liable for notification delivery failures due to errors in user-registered information.
  3. This App is not an emergency response service. In actual emergencies, please contact emergency services (911) immediately.

Article 6 (Service Termination)

  1. Users may terminate service use at any time by deleting the App.
  2. Stored data will be deleted upon service termination.

Article 7 (Changes to Terms)

  1. The App may modify these Terms when necessary.
  2. Changes to the Terms will be announced through in-app notifications.
